These access restrictions can include data wipe, revocation of authentication, denial (and restoration) of data access, system shutdown and more. Jim Obot / CEO Jim Obot is CEO and co-founder of Beachhead. He brings to the company more than 30 years of technology industry experience in operations, customer support, and senior management in prominent Silicon Valley firms. He came to Beachhead after leading two companies in the wireless space: fusionOne and Omnisky. He was part of the original executive management team of Palm Computing, and served as VP of Worldwide Operations, as well as VP and General Manager of Palm.net. Prior to Palm, Jim served as President of Navigation Technologies, one of the pioneers of location-based service solutions leveraging GPS technology. He also spent 14 years at Apple Computer, where he held a number of senior management positions, primarily responsible for sales administration and distribution within Apple USA. Jim started his technology career at National Semiconductor in customer support and sales operations.
Jim earned his BSC in Finance from Santa Clara University.
Jeff Rubin / Strategy & Business Development
Jeff Rubin is VP, Strategy & Business Development and co-founder of Beachhead. Jeff is instrumental in charting our strategic direction, and leads the company’s efforts to identify and develop relationships with synergistic partners. He spent many years in management consulting – as Vice President, CSC/Index, Manager at Booz Allen Hamilton, and in his own private practice – where he led or participated in numerous consulting programs aimed at bringing new vision and technologies to bear on clients' most complex issues. At InnoVentry, a pioneer of self-service financial kiosks offering automated check cashing and processing, Jeff served as Senior VP of Marketing and was part of the team that raised $115M. He also served as General Manager for InnoVentry's Entertainment Business Unit, a division which he built and sold for a 250% return in 18 months. He was also CMO of Better World Services, the only environmentally-friendly roadside assistance and travel club in North America, and Microcontroller Marketing Manager at Intel, where his team defined the initial design characteristics and product positioning of the 80486 microprocessor.Jeff holds a BAS from the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences and a BS from The Wharton School, both at the University of Pennsylvania. He also earned an MBA from the J. L. Kellogg School at Northwestern University.
Tim Lavelle / Sales
Tim Lavelle is VP, Sales and co-founder of Beachhead. He leads the company’s sales efforts and ensures our resources are focused on developing and growing business with SMB and enterprise customers in targeted verticals, and through key channel partners worldwide. He has a wealth of sales, marketing, and product management experience with aggressive technology-based companies including National Semiconductor, Yamaha North America, and two eBusiness startups. At Yamaha, Tim crafted separate strategic alliances with Intel and Microsoft, and established Yamaha integrated circuits and software music synthesis as the de facto standard for audio on personal computers. As VP, Sales and Marketing and co-founder of NetBuy, he created the company's corporate identity and built the sales and marketing infrastructure. Tim was VP, Business Development of FastParts, where he was a key member of the management team that successfully raised $34.5M in financing. He also served as Executive Director of the RosettaNet industry standards consortium, where he built consensus among senior executives of diverse global companies in the semiconductor manufacturing supply chain to establish a common standards roadmap.
Tim graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point with a BS in Engineering. He also earned a Master of Letters in Strategic Studies at Aberdeen University in Scotland, and an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
Rob Weber / Product & Support Management
Rob Weber is Director of Product and Support at Beachhead. He brings more than 25 years of technology experience to his current position, in which he leads product management, product development, partner integration, and technical support. Prior to Beachhead, Rob spent most of his career at Hewlett-Packard in a wide variety of roles. His initial assignment at HP was to support developers of applications for the HP NewWave environment, the pre-cursor to icon-based Windows. He held multiple positions in IT as well, including that of internal customer account manager, helping HP division managers decide what IT tools and resources were appropriate for them and their budgets. In addition to HP, Rob served as project manager at startup Aristasoft. He began his career as an application developer at Pacific Gas and Electric, where he helped implement the company’s first automated payroll system.
Rob earned his BS in Management Information Systems from California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo.
